Thredbo is Australia’s best ski resort and premier year round destination. Open 365 days a year, it’s home to a number of awesome activities including skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, backcountry tours, wellness retreats and lots more…but let’s talk winter activities!
Thredbo’s terrain is perfect for all ages and abilities. Beginners will love the purpose built area designed for skill progression in a safe environment. Intermediates can enjoy Australia’s longest runs and the wide variety of terrain on offer. Advanced skiers and snowboarders will find endless on and off piste challenges, powder bowls and natural features. Unfortunately Thredbo does not allow Tobogganing in the resort.
Thredbo is famous for its vibrant village atmosphere. Located at the base of the mountain, everything you need is located within a short walking distance, offering a great range of lodges, bars, restaurants, cafes and shops. In the late afternoons and evenings the village transforms into a festive alpine hub with apres sessions , live music, events, dj’s & the occasional fireworks.
Thredbo is a short 40 minute drive from Jindabyne. All vehicles are required to purchase a vehicle pass to enter Kosciuszko National Park. Day and multiday park entry passes can be purchased at the NPWS vehicle entry stations and the Thredbo Visitor Centre. From the car park, Thredbo runs a free shuttle bus to take you around the village.
