National Parks Pass
If you are planning to drive to the resorts & into the Kosciuszko National Park you must have a valid NSW National Parks pass for your vehicle.
Plan ahead and buy your NPWS Annual All Parks Pass online at nswparkspass.info before arriving. The new digital passes are valid instantly.
Chain Hire
If you are traveling to Perisher Resort in a two-wheel drive car you are required to carry chains in your vehicle between Jindabyne & Perisher. If traveling to Thredbo they are not compulsory, however it is recommended. Four-wheel drive and all-wheel drive vehicles are not required to carry chains.
It is helpful to know how to fit the chains or get a demonstration before you head to the mountain. In peak periods there may be a chain fitting service available on route to the mountain, however it is not guaranteed.

Snowy Mountains Winter Bus Service
Operated by Transport NSW, this is the only public transport option between Jindabyne and the snow resorts. The shuttle runs every 30 minutes during peak periods and is the most wallet friendly & hassle free option to get to the slopes.
A return ticket also includes your entry into the national park.
